As we head into the Spring & Summer months of 2013, AJANAKU teamed up with GANT & Esquire to put together 4 looks that are perfect for the City Gentleman. In the following weeks we will be sharing the remaining looks.
The most laid back of all our looks, our City Gentleman bring the bright colours of spring to us with Gant’s take on the classic Hawaiian shirt. Under the floral print tee, we decided to still bring an essence of gentleman to the look with the yellow Madras shirt and dark tie. For the cooler evenings we have given the City Gentleman a sweater like deconstructed jacket with pocket square. He also opts to wear jeans, to emphasise the laid back look, help but by the ever resent woven belt. It’s al about pastel this summer & the latest Esquire Magazine in your back pocket!
It seems as if the Summer just wont start here in Europe, so for the third look we made sure our City Gentleman stayed wram and dry with this great army green jacket. For this look we decided to use one of Gant Rugger’s best pieces, the India Madras Shirt, accompanied by dark blue shoes and the woven green belt. As a man on the move, the City Gentleman always turns to his weekender when travelling, while never forgetting he is a true gentleman by selecting a matching pocket square!
The Second outfit of the City Gentleman is the perfect Saturday outfit. Choosing an overall blue colour range, we bring in that spring / Summer feel with a mint green knitted sweater. The mint green is an uplifting colour, that we paired it with the checked shirt to give a little contrast. A simple blue and green pocket square accentuate the outfits colour, while a hint of poka-dot brings in the playfulness of the complete outfit. On this east Saturday, the City Gentleman opts for a pair of light jeans and a classic deconstructed blazer to never loose the sartorial edge.
For the first look the City Gentleman gives his own twist to the camouflage and pastel trends for this year. Choosing to keep the army green shorts and brown deconstructed jacket a solid colour, we concentrate the pattern in the icon pastel madras print tie, supported by the multi coloured braided belt. The pocket square gives the finishing touch to make this look office worthy. This look is a statement in the office, saying you mean business, but love the summer months.
