Super Bowl XLVI
The Super Bowl is only a few short weeks away. As the countdown begins it is important for the avid sports fanatic to acquire a plethora of items to make sure that their football experience is top notch. This is a list of things you’ll need to make sure you enjoy Super Bowl 46:
1. Location:
Sure, going to a bar sounds like a great idea…WRONG! Although it’s a tempting concept being in the comforts of your own home free, to use the bathroom without the threat of long lines and drinking endless beer (without the judgement of others) is your prerogative. Also if your team losses you don’t want to be caught in public whaling like a little girl.
2. The perfect TV:
The time to purchase or secure a television and cable package is NOW. We suggest you get the best of the best and invest in DIRECTV.
You don’t want to be the jerk whose house everyone goes to and the TV is inadequate or suffers a mysterious cable blackout. Not to mention High Definition capabilities, who would want to watch a football game as important as the Super Bowl without HD.
If you weren’t lucky enough to snag a telly during Black Friday or you were accosted during an untimely pepper spray incident (too soon?), Amazon.com has some great deals for products ranging from 26 inches to 40 inches. Best Buy and Walmart also have deals for as low as $200!
3. The Snacks:
Even if the atmosphere is right it won’t mean a thing is the snacks aren’t delicious. It’s a Super Bowl party so guests will expect you to bring your A-game; it’s comparable to the 4th of July or Memorial Day- mediocre food is not an option. You’re in luck! Ideeli, a personal favorite of mine, is having a Super Bowl sale starting today.
Nothing says “Welcome to my home, so glad you could make it. Oh hell…who am I kidding I just want to show off my exquisite culinary skills,” like delicious Omaha steaks.
Every grill master knows their kitchen arsenal is not complete without the essential spices to compliment the perfect recipe. Blair’s Sauces and Snacks is an award winning company with a wide selection of tasty hot flavorings. Interesting enough, Blair’s Ultra Death Sauce has been named by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “World’s Hottest” food product.
The sale also includes Cuisinart cookery such as the stainless steel grilling platter and 3-piece folding tool set.
These snacks look absolutely delicious. Who wouldn’t loved chocolate covered pretzels and popcorn?
4. A backup plan:
Everyone knows that you need a Plan-B if something should happen to your party. Let’s say if Uncle John get’s a little inebriated and knocks over the TV, you run out of chips and dip, the house catches on fire or more realistically you aren’t feeling the halftime show (which is basically a sin because Madonna is a goddess). You will need a second plan of action but this is something best left to discuss amongst good company.
The prices rang from $10 - $149 for Cuisinart, $17-$139 for Funky Chunky Snacks and $35-$199 for Omaha Steaks.
